I had fun creating this card. I REALLY love Silke's inspiration card this week over at Case Study Challenge # 34, LOVE the sketch. I didn't think I was going to have time to play along in either one of this challenges but Silke's sketch and the colors over at Play Date Cafe Challenge # 76 were too exquisite to pass up. The water in Play Date Cafe's photo made me want to find a pool and jump right in it. I thought I would try to see if I could combine this two challenges. I created the sky by masking the white card stock with cloud die cuts and rubbing chalk all around the die cut clouds with my index finger making some areas around the clouds a bit darker and leavinng the areas in between the clouds lighter. The sky does look a little lighter in the photo than it really is. I am happy with how this card turned out. Thanks Play Date Cafe and Case study for inspiring me.
I am also entering this to Make It Monday Challenge # 10 : Masking with die cuts. I enjoy watching their videos every Monday and always come away with a new neat idea of using a technique or tool in a different way.
