Chevron Chic and Orange Brownies

Hello Ladies are you as happy as me that is Friday? Yay!
when I was flipping through the Paper Craft magazine, the card by Courtney Kelly on Page 25 and Kim Kesti on page 24 really got my attention. LOVE those cards. So when I saw the Chevron Chick Challenge going on over at Moxi Fab Word. I had to play along. I really like the clean, crisp and simpleness of chevron stripes. I had fun creating these chevron stripes in the silhouette studio. I used the left over cut outs to add to the the corners of the Happy Birthday card above.

Now this second card was inspire by all the wonderful inspiration Cath provided for the challenge.
I am also submitting this card to the Make It Monday Challenge # 16 Sympathy Cards. I have shy away from making Sympathy cards before, but now with the tips Dawn McVey shared in the video for this challenge, I feel more confident creating a sympathy card thanks Dawn.

and last but not least. I thought it would be fun to leave you with something yummy, that you might love to bake over the holiday weekend.  These beauties that you see above are called Orange Brownies, is a Paula Deen recipe. Do I need to say more? they are delicious and light. Perfect for a summer dessert. I made them not too long ago for one of Ethan's Boy Scout den meeting, it was my turn to bring refreshments. The kids loved them so much that their moms told me that they have not stop hearing about these Orange Brownies. This past Wednesday was our Boy Scouts Den end of the year party. Can you guess what they ask me to bring? Orange Brownies.

* Note: if you choose to try this recipe and I hope you do you should now that I only use 1 1/2 teaspoon of orange extract, the piercing of the cake is not on the recipe that I printed over a year ago, so i have not done; and lastly the recipe I have does say to let it cool for about fifteen minutes before before spreading the glaze, which I do.

Have a great Weekend! and thank you so much for stopping by.

Stamps used for this two projects are from PTI (Flutter By Friend and Fly Away)
