Hopscotch Anyone?

My family and I were driving to the bookstore when I was telling my hubby how in this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge # 2. The challenge is to use buttons and twine. I went on to tell him that I was having a hard time coming up with an idea. There are only few ways that I could think of using buttons and twine, I said out loud. Feeling a little discouraged I decided to think outside of the box and think about things that maybe I could use twine instead of lines and that is how the idea of  hopscotch came about. My kids love playing this game and so do I. I even made us a little sack filled with rice because the rocks kept on rolling and rolling past our hopscotch or outside of the squares even though we tried throwing softly.
I wanted to keep this card simple yet happy and colorful, so I used every color of twine that I own. I first stamped the numbers so that I would not end up with squares that might be smaller than my numbers. Using the squares on the clear block as my guide was a big help. I then punched holes where the corners of the squares would be and then used a needle to pull the twine through the holes and finished by using the two buttons that I layered, threaded and placed on the number 7 in place of a  rock or sack.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!
All of the stamping in this card was done using the Lawn and Fawn Smitty's ABC's
and all the twine is from The Twinery
