Hello, there. I made this card for the newest Color Q Challenge # 106, Wee Memories Challenge # 71 and The Texture to Perfection Challenge over at Moxi Fab World. I added some of that spider wed stuff that I and maybe you too put around the house for Halloween. I kept the spider web like material in place by rolling a little bit of adhesive around the inside edge of the card but not too close to the edge to give the web something to hold on to. Then I adhered white cardstock to line and make the inside look nice. I also added some glitter to the book to give that kind of old vintage texture to the book and make it a tittle tempting to want to touch and even open, hahahah!!!
Are you guys getting ready for Halloween? I know my kids are. Last week my daughter was wanting so badly to give a test run to whatever she was going to dress up as this year. She was thinking about dressing up as a cat but when we looked in her closet and didn't find what we needed to complete the look, she quickly started thinking of something else. We were both brain storming as ideas came to mind with items in her closet. We ended up finding something that she is very happy with, especially after I put make-up on her face to complete the look.
Sorry! I hope you were not thinking that I was going to tell you what she is going to be. You will have to stay tuned. In the mean time you might enjoy getting a glimpse at our last couple of Halloweens. We have had so much fun getting creative and making the kids Halloween costumes.
These are the costumes from Halloween 2009, Dorothy and the Tin Man. This was my first time making their costumes. It was so much fun to do this, and way cheaper than buying costumes at the store.
And these ones are from Halloween 2010 Mad Hatter and Alice.
For my son I made the hat from paper and the rest was purchased from the Thrift Store and I sewed Evie's dress and apron.
My hubby got them to pose this way and I thought it was perfect.
Did you noticed? I just created my own water mark.
Thanks for stopping by today.
