Sharing a Little Secret
So here it is...this is how the Lolly Pop idea started. This one above is the original version of the Lolly Pop Top anyways. I was playing with scraps in my desk. Most of the time my cards are just created for fun, sometimes with someone in mind and plenty other time is just fun to challenge my self with a challenge out here in Blog Land. This card was born out of pure fun and experimenting. After I was done with my card I really quite loved it. It sat there on my desk for a couple of days and then I thought it might be worth submitting it to the April/March submission call. I had wanted to send a card to the previous submission call but I just didn't get around to it. Well, as I was getting ready to submit this card to the Paper Crafts magazine. My very first submission ever I realized that because all the little circles came from scraps. I had no clue who the manufacturers were. I looked in my supplies to see if i could recreate the Lolly Pop with other papers still keeping with the rainbow like theme and what do you know in my supplies I had a paper pad from K&Company (Color Basics Radient.) with a good gradient of the rainbow colors. It was just perfect. So I changed the top of the Lolly Pop you see above for the one you see below.
i LOVED how it turned out. I also still loved the original version up on top and planned on making a card with it at some point. Just today I saw this Paper Scraps Challenge over at Moxi Fab World and decided to bring out that Lolly Pop Top made out of scraps out from my little jar were I save little embellishments I make that for one reason or another don't end up working out in the project that I might be working on. I was beyond excited that The Paper Crafts Magazine accepted my very first submission, it made it special that it was a card that was all me...and it really puts a big smile on my face to see how many of you have liked it, have pinned it over at Pinterest ( trust me it has not gone unnoticed by me). I have enjoyed seeing your recreations of it too. Thank you! so much to you all from the bottom of my heart.
