You are so nice

Hi! there, things have been pretty busy around here but not for reasons that you might think. Nothing bad though. Even thought the whole back to school thing was not the reason for how busy I got leaving no time to craft, it is the my inspiration for this card today and this post because I HAD to share it with you guys. You may not be able to see it to well but I heat embossed a pencil next to note paper. Below is a card that I made before things go really busy. I made it to play along in CAS-ual Fridays Challenge # 65 : create a clean and simple square card. Sorry! that challenge is over now. I just wanted to share the link for inspiration sake.

I sometimes feel bad to point something out that I like about a card I made because I feel like I am padding my own back. I am really not that kind of person to hug the spot light you know? but I really like how this kite came out specially the tail...for some reason the embossed tail with the colored in bows gives me the illusion that somehow they are translucent bows floating in the wind. This card was way easier to make that it may appear. I only added this kite to this pattern paper and the glitter applied to the heart on the sun. This one is one of those cards that is great to leave with no sentiment because it can be good for so many occasions.

Updated this post to add material used: I created the notebook lines using the lines from the Papertrey Ink stamp set (faux ribbons) I also used Papertry's notebook die, the pencil stamp is from TPC Studio (painting and drawing) stamp set. The cute hamster and sentiment is from paper smooches (party posse), and (word salad) The kite is from Up, up and away which is from Papetrey ink. I hope this helps you Denise. Thank you for stopping by.

  1. I just found your blog and I love your cards! Wish you listed some of the products you use.... I've been thinking about buying a notebook edge die and I really like the one you use. Can you tell me which one it is?
