Gold Foiling Happiness

Check out the Freshly Made Sketch # 225 here below. Right away I felt inspired by it so I had to play along...just made my card Yesterday! I don't know about you but I have loved all the gold foiling that I am seeing around. I actually was not planning on doing gold anything but the need for a little something, something led me in that direction. I used this Therm O Web Deco Foil, Gold....gold foiling with my laminator has not worked out for me...but thank goodness that this gold foil also works with adhesives.
To create the sentiment I cut a piece of cardstock to about the size that I needed to die cut the sentiment and run it through my xyron sticker machine I then I applied the gold foil onto the sticky side of the cardstock, gold side facing up, rubbed it gently and lifted and voila! a gold foiled piece of cardstock. I then proceeded to die cut this lovely sentiment from from the gold foiled piece of cardstock, then made two additional die cuts out of plain cardstock to layer and give the sentiment thickness. I used the selective die cutting technique to make my notebook page die cut extra long.
This was fun! I hope that you get a chance to play along too. Thanks for stopping by!
